Although Emily wrote a lovely poetic tribute to bees, it takes a lot more than one bee... and we are now beginning to understand the consequences of a future where bees are indeed few. More than a prairie is at risk as we see our key pollinators begin to diminish.
This art show is a celebration of apis mellifera, the European Honeybee. Four Vancouver Island artists have created art in response to the awe that one feels in the presence of these social insects, to the astounding service of the honeybee and to the fears that are growing about the risks that they face.
